I believe leadership is about developing people, not directing people.
During my time in a Corporate environment, my passion was growing leaders. They didn’t always have a formal leadership role, they were at various stages of their career, and sometimes they weren’t even sure they actually wanted to be leaders. But they almost all had a drive to learn, grow and become better versions of themselves. It made me strive to be someone who helped them on their journey. It’s what inspired me to leave a comfortable role at an amazing company and become a coach and help people achieve their personal and professional goals.
Beyond just being inspired by others and passionate about coaching, what makes me qualified to be a coach? My answer is experience – both professional and personal.
I was an executive with a 31 year career at a Fortune 100 Insurance and Health Services company. I led a team of 300+ people with diverse functions and experience, including Finance, Underwriting, Sales, Service, Operations, Claims, and Legal.
I’m passionate about personal development. I’ve learned by doing and taking lessons from my successes and failures. I’ve learned by reading. I’ve learned by talking with and listening to others. I’ve learned from divorce. I’ve learned from starting over. I’ve learned from battling and surviving cancer twice. I’ve learned from raising three daughters. I’d like to use my learning and experience to help you.
The approach to achieving your goals and responding to challenges is straightforward, but it isn’t easy. Success takes perseverance. It takes planning, hard work and time. It takes awareness and perspective. It takes ongoing evaluation and adjustments. This is why a great coach can be the difference between success and feeling unfulfilled.
My goal as a coach is to help motivated people achieve their goals, deal with professional and personal challenges and expand their leadership skills. My coaching program is designed to help you develop plans, put them into action and to create accountability to keep you on track to achievement.
